Tragedy struck at the entrance of Ilupeju-Ekiti, a neighboring community to the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), a trailer crushed two students from FUOYE and another person to death.
Eyewitnesses reported that the trailer collided with the bike the students were riding.
According to information gathered, the two students were actually siblings. One of them, identified as Passion, owned a barber shop. The other victim was his younger sister.
The bike rider, who was an indigene of Oye-Ekiti, also lost his life in the accident.
As of now, the police in the state have not yet responded to this incident.
In another news, VAM News had reported that FUOYE declared a lecture free-day after a truck crushed a 100-level student, Taiwo Gbolahan, to death along Ikole-Oye highway in the state.
It was gathered that the deceased was on his way to school when a truck rammed into the bike he boarded and crushed him to death.
The deceased, who was the class governor of the quantity survey department, died on a Friday morning.
The Dean of Student Affairs of the University, Prof Dosu Malomo, who confirmed the incident noted that Taiwo Gbolahan died in the theatre where he was being attended to.
