VAM News

A viral picture of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state’s return from the months medical trip in Germany has surfaced online.

It was learnt that Akeredolu’s cabinet members were already in Ibadan to welcome him.

Akeredolu began medical leave in June and was extended indefinitely by the state House of Assembly.

The Ondo governor had transferred power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in line with constitutional provisions.
Photographs and video of the Governor in a German hospital emerged when he celebrated his 67th birthday.

In the video, the Governor was seen dancing alongside his wife and close associates.

A source said the governor would arrive in Ibadan, where he would take a few days rest.

“I’m also aware that some members of the state Exco might likely visit him there to welcome him back to the state”.
