CP Emeka gives update on policeman who shot father of 3 dead in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has said its officer who shot and killed a father of three, Alafuro Peterside, in the presence of members of his family on August 4 is still being detained.

 

Rivers Commissioner of Police, CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka said this while giving update on the incident.

 

He assured that justice will be done to the deceased father of three.

 

He said the mobile Police officer is currently undergoing investigation for homicide at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

 

CP Emeka added that the officer has been in detention since the incident happened.

The late Peterside was shot dead by a policeman before his wife and his three children close to a popular bar along Stadium Road, Elekahia in Port Harcourt, on August 4.
