Popular street-hop singer Portable has publicly confirmed his romantic relationship with Queen Dami, the wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo.
Speculations about their relationship had been rife, especially after online leaks of their affectionate conversations.
However, Portable laid all doubts to rest during his appearance on a recent episode of the Honest Bunch podcast.
During the podcast, the street-hop sensation candidly affirmed the rumors, stating, “After king na king” – a statement that has caught the attention of listeners and fans alike.
Expanding on this revelation, Portable disclosed that Queen Dami had been a devoted admirer of his work since his early days as an artist.
He shed light on the fact that their connection took a more serious turn following the passing of the Alaafin of Oyo.
Elaborating further on the dynamics of their relationship, Portable firmly asserted that he had no intention of pursuing someone else’s wife and emphasized that his involvement with Queen Dami only intensified after the monarch’s demise.
He maintained that had the Alaafin still been alive, he wouldn’t have been seen in such a context with her, indicating his respect for the sanctity of the relationship.
In his words;
“Queen Dami has been my fan from day one.
“When I now heard of the king’s death, after king na king. You wouldn’t have seen me with her if the king was still alive. I no dey follow person wife.”
