The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has said the two persons on the helicopter which crashed at Oba Akran area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria are white men.
Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, told PM NEWS that only two people were inside the copter when it crashed contrary to the four people being mentioned by the National Emergency Management Agency’s (NEMA) spokesman for Southwest, Ibrahim Farinloye.
He said the two people inside the copter were white men and were rescued alive and that the helicopter had been evacuated from the scene by the agency.
The helicopter registered 5NCCQ, crashed beside UBA on Oba Akran on Tuesday around 4.00pm with two passengers on board rescued alive.
According to Osanyintolu, the agency activated its disaster response plan to the scene of the incident.
He said the helicopter was evacuated from the scene of the incident around 5:30pm.
“The helicopter registered 5NCCQ was finally confirmed to contain 2 passengers and it has been safely removed from the road which is now free for vehicular movement.
“All Emergency Responders are now departing the scene. Further investigation to be carried out by NCAA,” he said.
