THE Coalition of Youth Voice Movement has warned youths against protest in Osun State.
The Movement said this in a statement signed by its President, Comrade Adebisi Emmanuel Oluwaseun, on Sunday.
The group while saying it was not in support of any protest in Osun State, called on the federal government to act fast and resolve the issues of hardship on citizens.
It said, “Avoid participation in any form of sponsor protest not to jeopardize the peace of the State.
“Our attention as been drawn that some people have gathered to stage a protest tommorow and mobilize Youth’s to cause riot in the society.
“This is to inform the general public especially the Osun Youth’s under the umbrella of CYVM that we are not in support of any group sponsor protest that can cause any unrest in the in the society.
“Truly as Nigerians we have suffered enough but a hoodlums sponsor protest without proper coordination and involvement of the concerned authorities is not the solution to avoid violence.
“The government should let the poor breathe on the Hike in fuel pump price, hike in electricity tariff, economic hardship, commercialization of education, insecurity and Nonprovision of palliatives to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.
“Any government that failed to funds education, fund health sectors, fund agriculture, funds refineries, fund industries and empowers the Youth’s is a total failure.
“A united people can never be defeated, this is high time to forget about division, different ideologies and Political affiliations and unite to fight for our right in a polite manners.
“We hereby call on the federal government to act fast of resolving the issues of hardship on citizens and failure to do this we will swift to actions by fully supports of the Nationwide Strike and Protest Organize by the NLC on August 2.
“Let the poor breathe you are soffocating the masses.”
