Popular Native Doctor, Okuko Tiwaraki Kidnapped, Aides Shot Dead

An Anambra-based native doctor, Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki, was abducted by unknown gunmen in the Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

The incident occurred on Sunday night when armed men stormed the hotel of the popular witch doctor in the Oba community.

During the abduction, Tiwaraki’s two bodyguards were shot dead before he was taken to an unknown destination.

The operation was carried out with ease, causing concerns in the community about the native doctor’s safety and status.

Tiwaraki was known for boasting about his power and wealth, and his mansion in the community attracted people seeking anti-bullet charms and money rituals.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, stated that it occurred around 11:30 p.m.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has ordered the operatives to go after the abductors and ensure the safe release of the native doctor.
