“Authentic” UTME Top Scorer Bags Scholarship From Governor Soludo, Other

Nkechinyere Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, the candidate with the highest score in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) has been offered a scholarship by Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State.

The offer is contained in a statement by the Governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, on Tuesday.

Soludo in the statement congratulated the Anambra indigene who garnered a total of 360 out of the 400 obtainable score.

Umeh has been given the opportunity, by the governor, to study any course at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

“The governor has announced a well-deserved scholarship for her to study any course of her choice at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

“The scholarship will not only serve as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work but also provide her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams and contribute to the development of the state in the future,” it said.

The governor who wished Umeh success in her academic pursuits encouraged other Anambra students across the world to draw inspiration from Umeh’s exceptional feat.

He urged them to leverage the improved conducive learning environment in the state and constantly pursue excellence.

The best performing UTME student has also been offered scholarships by the Anambra State Government and Erisco Foods CEO.
