BREAKING: Amotekun Commander, ex-CP dies

THE Commander of the Ogun State Security Network, otherwise known as the Amotekun Corps, David Akinremi has died.

Akinremi died on Monday evening after a protracted illness.

It was gathered that Akinremi had been nursing an undisclosed ailment for quite some time until he breathed his last on Monday.

Akinremi, a retired Commissioner of Police became the pioneer commander of Amotekun in 2021 when the corps was launched in the State.

The Commander of the State-owned So-Safe Corps (a sister security agency to Amotekun), Soji Ganzallo confirmed Akinremi’s death on Tuesday.

Ganzallo described Akinremi’s death as a rude shock.
