Osun-based sociopolitical group, Osun Shall Rise Again (OSRA) has berated an Iwo-based cleric, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, for acting like an unbiased empire in the seemingly rift between immediate past Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola and the former Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, when in fact he has been taking sides with Aregbesola.

Similarly, they have asked him to explain to the whole world how the review of single uniform, abolition of re-classification schools and restoration of the names of schools in Osun to their original names offend Islam.

In a statement issued by the group on Thursday and signed by its Secretary and Chairman, Saheed Bakare and Lanre Akeju, the group which described the cleric as an imposter, addressing himself in borrowed robes, noted that the cleric is one of hose using the sacred pulpit to dish out lies to their followers who in turn use same to blackmail Oyetola.

“As a group, interested in the growth and development of Osun, we did not hide our preference and so we are not ashamed to identify with him publicly.

“We are aware as a group that contrary to the Cleric’s claim, he enjoyed patronage from Oyetola till he left office. Did he also abuse Aregbesola to get money for the purchase of the land where his school located? Did he abuse Aregbesola to get money from Oyetola to buy the vehicle he is driving?

“When those who claim to be spiritual leaders become this mischievous, then, one should not be surprised when the followers do worse.

“Oyetola played his part well as Governor of Osun State during his term and we believe genuine Osun people know that it was Oyetola who saved Osun from collapsing.

“If it is easy to win an election, did the Cleric’s group not sponsor a candidate in the last election? What was the outcome? A man who addressed himself by a title that is unknown to the generality of other Muslims in the Southwest should not be taking seriously,” the group said.
