An Address By His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba. (Prof.) Adekunle Asamu Oyeyemi, Tewogbade 1, On The Occasion Of Oba-Ile Day 2023 Held On Saturday 29th April, 2023

We thank God for the privilege to witness yet another celebration of Oba-lle day. It is by His grace that we are able to gather this year again. My greetings to all chiefs of Oba-lle Kingdom, amiable sons and daughters of our great town both at home and in diaspora youths and women.

I welcome all members of Oba-lle descendant Union (ODU) and I appreciate you all for your support so far in moving our great town forward, May the good Lord bless you all. All royal fathers present, I greet you all, the Chairman of this Occasion, and all distinguished guests, thank you for gracing this Occasion. It is pertinent to state that we cannot but, continually remind ourselves of the progress which has been made so far in our great town.

However, our numerous challenges still stir at us in the face. The roads leading to our town still remain in a very deplorable state. Good road networks are very essential to any town, as it not only grants easy accessibility to the town, but it can also open up the town to tangible commercial activities. Thus we urge the government to rise to the occasion by having Oba-lle in mind. We need good roads.

We sincerely hope that our plea will be heard, so that our town can boast of easy accessibility. I want to encourage all the good sons and daughters of Oba-lle, our women, youths, all groups and associations never to relent in contributing to the development of the town in no little measure.

The growth of the town automatically translates to our Individual growth as a people. I commend us all for our contributions in the past and plead passionately with us to do more. As we raise funds today in the course of the celebration, I sincerely hope that we put in our best and contribute our mite.

I greet you all gentlemen of the press present and all well wishers. Thank you for gracing this auspicious occasion. I wish you a safe journey back to your various destinations. God bless Oba-lle, God bless Osun State. God bless Nigeria.
