Agriculture Ministry to offer special service to Ekiti Farmers

Ekiti state Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has provided a whooping offer for the farmers in the state. This is done in partnership with the Nigeria Institute of Soil Science (NISS) to assist the farmers with soil test service.

According to the organization, the soil test will improve the soil performance and boost agricultural productivity when initiated in the state.

Another benefit of the implementation is the probability to expose the farmers to know the information about their soil, including PH, nutrient levels, and other vital indicators. However, the offer has been placed to help the farmers with just a token or discounted fee.

The Ekiti State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, in collaboration with the Nigeria Institute of Soil Science (NISS), is pleased to announce that basic soil testing services will be made available to farmers in the state. This initiative aims to improve crop performance and boost agricultural productivity in the state.

The basic soil test, which will be conducted by the NISS trained Agricultural Development (ADP) officials, will provide farmers with important information about their soil, including pH, nutrient levels, and other vital indicators. Armed with this knowledge, farmers will be able to make more informed decisions about crop selection and fertilizer application, ultimately leading to increased yields and profits.

It is important to note that this service attracts a token or discounted fee, which will be communicated to interested farmers. Interested farmers are encouraged to contact the Ekiti State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security at the new secretariat, Ado Ekiti or any Agricultural Development Program (ADP) office in all the 16 Local Government Areas to learn more about the service and how to take advantage of it.
