“No Tangible Work Achieved So Far” – Osun Residents Berate Governor Adeleke’s 100 Days In Office

Following Governor Ademola Adeleke’s celebration of 100 days in the office, Osun people murmured, expressed their griefs against the current administration.

 

 

 

Adeleke who was sworn in on November 27th, 2022 was placed on a very high level of hope as the PDP candidate who polled 295,023 votes against Mr Oyetola’s 263,274 votes had made a lots of promises during his campaigns.

 

 

 

Inside the street with Osun residents, Segun Abidemi, a resident of Osogbo, the Osun state capital, stated that he has not seen any tangible work the current government has achieved.

 

 

 

“I have not seen any tangible work achieved by this adminstration of Governor Adeleke so far, paying workers salary should not be an achievement, workers are entitled to their pay”, Segun Abidemi said.

Another resident who only goes by Bashiru, said he could not also pinpoint the achievement of the current administration. “Even though they may pretend to be paying salaries, that is the prerogative of every worker,” he stated.

 

 

 

In addition, Bashiru noted that “some tarred road constructions had been even initiated during Oyetola’s administration.”

 

 

 

The community, however, call on Adeleke’s administration to make a strong effort to keep its previous promises. They also noted that the hardship in the state is becoming unbearable.

 

 

 

Giving his scorecard in governor office, the governor explained that his plan to stabilize the economy is gradually coming into fruition.

 

 

 

He emphasized that his govt has constructed 20km of road across the state, provide borehole in the 332 wards, organised surgical and medical outreach for 18000 beneficiaries and given 518m to 40 communities for infrastructural developments.

With the economy redirected towards meeting people’s need and payment of some salary arrears of workers.
