15 Nollywood stars supporting LP, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour against Gov. Sanwo-Olu: See the list

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vibour or GRV is definitely one of the front-runners in the race for the governorship seat in Lagos State.

 

 

 

Many have labelled him as a man who will finally take Lagos State from the hands of the All Progressives Congress.

 

 

 

The Labour Party candidate, however, has a tough test ahead. He will have to defeat Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the incumbent (APC) and Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) of the PDP.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, in this race, the endorsement of Nollywood stars can not be underrated.

 

 

 

Just like many stars have endorsed Governor Sanwo-Olu and Jandor, Rhodes-Vivour is also enjoying massive support from Nollywood stars.

 

 

 

Below are some of the top Nollywood stars who have camped with Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour in the battle against Gov. Sanwo-Olu and Jandor.

 

 

 

Debo Adebayo (Mr Macaroni)
Adebowale ‘Debo’ Adebayo popularly known as Mr macaroni believes Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has not done enough to deserve a second term.

 

 

 

In his opinion shared via Twitter, Maraconi stated that Sanwo-Olu has not impressed him.

 

 

The staunch supporter of the Labour Party said: “I don’t know about others but you (Gov. Sanwo-Olu) have not impressed ME as Governor of Lagos State! Lagos youths were killed. some others brutalized and dehumanized under your watch. Please sir, kindly call for Peace like this also on March 11th. So we can peacefully come out and Vote for GRV.”

 

 

Iyabo Ojo

In a shock twist, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo did a complete 360 to throw her weight behind Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

The actress had previously supported Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu when he first ran for governor of Lagos state in 2019.

 

 

But this time, Ojo declared that her vote is for the Labour Party candidate.

 

 

 

She declared her support through her social media handle and dubbed the Labour Party candidate ‘Son of the Soil’.

 

 

Nkechi Blessing
Nollywood star and actress Nkechi Blessing has asked Nigerians to get familiar with GRV.

 

 

 

This she declared after sharing a picture of herself and the Labour Party candidate through her social media account.

 

 

 

Her statement has since then gathered support for Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour amongst netizens.

 

 

 

John Okafor (Mr Ibu)

Nollywood actor Mr Ibu has also switched support from the ruling party to Labour Party.

 

 

The actor who endorsed the party alongside some of his other colleagues was once a supporter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) before switching to People Democratic Party( PDP) and now with LP.

 

 

 

Kennet Okonkwo

Nollywood actor Kenneth Okonkwo who was once a member of the APC ruling party defected to Labour Party (LP) where he has since then been vocal about his support for the party candidates.

 

 

 

The actor has appeared as a guest on a lot of talk shows to talk about topics ranging from his reason for defection to his support of LP.

 

 

Kate Henshaw

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has also shown support for the Labour Party through her social media handles.

Taking to her Twitter handle to share and drum up support for Labour Party, actress Kate Henshaw is also influencing netizens to make their vote count.

 

 

She recently spoke about how the youths made the majority of voters when Labour Party was criticised for having no structure being a new party and only being supported by the youths.

 

 

Uche Elendu

According to Elendu, GRV will deliver “a new Lagos.”

 

 

Also in a birthday post to celebrate GRV two days ago, Uche described the LP candidate as a man with a vision.
