In a bid to seek more supports and votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the House of Assembly election, the immediate past Governor of the State, Adegboyega Oyetola, took to the streets of Iwo Federal Constituency yesterday to speak to the people.
The former Governor, who is also a chieftain of the APC, encouraged the residents not to be intimidated by the alleged antics of the incumbent People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government. He further urged them to come out en masse to vote for the APC candidates in the upcoming House of Assembly election scheduled for next Saturday.
Oyetola’s visit to Iwo Federal Constituency was part of the APC’s ongoing efforts to galvanize support and ensure a resounding victory in the upcoming election. The former Governor’s message was received with great enthusiasm by the people who came out in their numbers to listen to him.
During his address, Oyetola emphasized the need for peaceful and violence-free elections, urging the residents to conduct themselves in an orderly manner on election day. He also promised that the APC-led government, if elected, would prioritize the security and welfare of the people of Osun State.
The former Governor called on the people of Osun State to exercise their civic duty by participating in the election, noting that their votes would determine the direction of the state for the next four years. Oyetola’s visit to Iwo Federal Constituency has further bolstered the confidence of APC supporters and sympathizers ahead of the election, as they look forward to a peaceful and successful electoral process.
