A business man in Irele, Ondo state, Mr Omololu Olowosoyo who was accompanied on a business journey to Osogbo with his driver, Mr Idowu has been reportedly killed along Ore- Irele road, Irele.

In a petition written by the deceased family lawyer, A.K Akinbuluma, Esq, has called for justice and discreet investigation.

According to the petition, the accomplice, one Mr Idowu who claimed that another, Mrs Dolapo was allegedly picked in Ore on their return to Irele are prime suspects. Both are said to be personally acting innocent and thereby accusing each other.

Voice Air Media learnts that the driver, Mr. Idowu had earlier duped the deceased the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira (#150,000.00). Apart from that, the accomplice is said to be in question for many evil things.

As the police are still making their investigations, the Olowosoyo family of Irele, Ondo State represented by Mr. Ilesanmi Olowosoyo (08161128132), Mr. Adegbaye Olowosoyo (08151596098) and Mrs. Funmilayo Olowosoyo are also calling for justice.

Meanwhile, all effort to speak with the police command proved abortive as at time of filing this report.

A CRY FOR JUSTICE FOR MR. OMOLOLU OLOWOSOYO AND HIS FAMILY
A CALL FOR DISCREET AND PURPOSEFUL INVESTIGATION INTO THE ALLEGATION OF KIDNAPPING AND GRUESOME MURDER OF MR. OMOLOLU OLOWOSOYO AT ALONG ORE-IRELE ROAD, IRELE AGAINST MR IDOWU, MRS. DOLAPO AND ANOTHER PERSON KNOWN AS ‘UKE’ ON THE 14TH DAY JANUARY, 2023.

We act as Solicitors to the Olowosoyo family of Irele, Ondo State represented by Mr. Ilesanmi Olowosoyo (08161128132), Mr. Adegbaye Olowosoyo (08151596098) and Mrs. Funmilayo Olowosoyo. We shall simply call them “our clients” and it is upon their firm authority we write this petition to your goodself calling for your prompt and immediate investigation.
Our client informed us that on the 14th day of January, 2023, Mr. Omololu Olowosoyo (the deceased) embarked on a business trip to Osogbo alone with one Mr. Idowu, a driver who plied the route. However, our client informed us that the said Mr. Idowu earlier duped Mr. Omololu of the sum of N150,000.00 which money was for the deceased Osogbo customer

On this said day, Mr. Omololu paid Mr. Idowu to convey him to Osogbo for his business trip. While the deceased was on the trip with Mr. Idowu, he spoke to Mrs. Funmilayo, his wife lamenting that he was unable to get the items he wenif N250,000.00.
Our client Mrs. Funmilayo informed us that she was communicating with the deceased through the journey until later when his line was unreachable. At about 7pm, our client was much worried on the whereabout of her husband and could not sleep until at about 8pm where there was a knock on her door. As she opened the door, it was the driver’s father who came to tell our client that his son, the driver was in the Police station giving stories of the fact that our client’s husband the deceased was kidnapped along the way.
Our client immediately beckoned on other members of the family and rushed to the Police station at Ode Irele where they sighted the Driver who narrated stories of how they were attacked on the way leading to the kidnapping of the deceased. Our client informed us that the driver further narrated how he picked another Mrs. Dolapo on their way from Ore to Irele, who was also in the car when the incidence occurred.
In the heat of the situation, the driver’s father attempted to bail him on the excuse that he was down with malaria but such attempt was resisted. The said Mr. Idowu was then ordered to move to the cell pending investigation. Lo and behold as he was moving to the cell he appeared to be hiding something. As luck would run against him, some money dropped from his pocked which was counted in the presence of people around including our clients to the tune of N200,00.00.
Our clients immediately swung into action and went to search the location of the incidence. Sadly, the deceased was found lying lifeless beside the road looking strangled and brutally assaulted. Please find attached the deceased lifeless body attached
Our clients were shocked to the marrow to see the deceased in such an unfortunate state more so that the driver and the Mrs. Dolapo who were on the journey with the deceased continues to play games with the whole situation. When later asked how it happened, Mr. Idowu would say they should ask Mrs. Dolapo and when Mrs. Dolapo when asked would also said Mr. Idowu should be asked.

On the next day, 15th day of January, 2023, when our clients returned to the station, the police were preparing to transit the culprits to Akure state CID, the driver, Mr. Idowu was again discovered with the sum of N49,000.00 in his cloth and while at the station, another person by the nickname ‘UKE’ came into the station and declared to the hearing of our clients that he has earlier warned the deceased to be careful with him and that the deceased was overbearing dragging a woman with him
We are particularly disturbed on how the officers from the Ode Irele Divisional police station are going about investigation into the case. Our clients were informed by police officers that the suspects have been arrested and transited to the Anti-Kidnapping section of the Police Station at Akure. However, our client discovered that some of the suspects linked to the commission of the heinous crime are still in the community gallivanting around.
What is more worrisome to our clients is that families of the suspects who have been arrested in connection with the murder case are now approaching the police officers of the Anti-Kidnapping unit at Akure for the administrative bail of their ward thereby frustrating fairness and justice of the case.

As minister in the temple of justice, we have advised our clients to remain calm as discreet and purposeful investigation will be carried out by your office, hence this petition.
Mr. Omololu Olowosoyo is the breadwinner of his family with many dependents, 4 children and other dependants.
This unfortunate incident is now brewing up serious crises in community as the family cry for justice for their son.
It is against this background that we hereby enlist the support of your goodself to intervene on this matter by ordering a full-scale and discreet investigation into our client’s petition. Your urgent intervention will go a long way in dousing the tension in the community and prevent looming crises.
