#NigeriaDecides2023: Osogbo Residents Troop Out to vote under peaceful atmosphere

As Nigerians decide today to elect their preferred candidates as the president and the members of the national assembly, residents of Osogbo the capital city of Osun State were not left out in large numbers in the discharge of their civic responsibilities.

At Ataoja E, situated at Osogbo Grammar School, Osogbo. the presiding officers arrived at the Polling Unit around 7.00am and at exactly 8:26am presiding officers gave a brief Voters Education on BVAS and voting process to the electorates.

Thereafter accreditation and voting started simultaneously, the voting is at present going on smoothly while the security operatives, party agents and observers are on ground to discharge their duties.

Speaking on the election, Mr Famakinwa Jimoh, who just casted his ballot stated that the Polling Unit is always peaceful.

He however advised people to come out and cast their votes.

Also at Ward 12 (Otun Jagun A), Polling Unit 15 , Oke Popo Osogbo, voting started on time while aged , physically challenged persons and party agents were given opportunity to cast their votes first.

However at Otun Jagun Oke Popo, Osogbo voting didn’t commence at 8:30am because of the disagreement on agreed location for Polling Unit, which was later resolved.

Voice Air Media learnt that the atmosphere at Ataoja ‘D’ , polling unit L .G. Dispensary is peaceful.
