Europa league: Man United dump Barcelona out of race

Manchester United came from one-goal down to beat Barcelona at Old Trafford.

The second leg of the encounter between two great European teams was open following a 2:2 draw at Nou Camp last week.

Robert Lewandoski’s penalty put the visitors ahead after Manchester United Captain, Bruno Fernandes was adjudged to have fouled Balde in the box.

A resurgent Manchester United after the first half, controlled the game. Wous Weghorst made way for the eventual match-winner, Antony at the halftime.

Fernandes was instrumental as he provided an assist for Fred who scored his first goal of this year’s tournament.

The second goal was scored by Antony after first and second efforts by Alejandro Garnacho and Fred were blocked by the Barcelona defenders.

The game ended in 4:3 on aggregate.
