Osun: Adeleke pays another half salary arrears to workers

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

THE Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has approved the payment of another batch of half salary arrears for the state and local government civil servants.

This was contained in a release signed by Mallam Olawale Rasheed Spokesperson to Adeleke on Thursday, In Osogbo.

The Head of Service, Mr Samuel Aina in a letter dated 22nd February, 2023 conveying the approval, Gov Adeleke approved payment of February 2016 half salary arrears for the state’s civil servant.

The letter was signed on behalf of the Head of Service by the Director PSO, Mr K. Akintola.

It would be recalled that earlier this month, the state government paid the January 2016 half salary arrears to the state workforce while approving modalities for the payment of all the 30-months half salary arrears inherited from the previous APC government in the state. This latest payment is in continuation of the modalities earlier approved by Governor Adeleke.

This payment directive is to be treated with utmost urgency as stated by the state’s Head of Service and it can be reliably stated that payment has already begun as the state civil servants are already receiving credit alerts payment to that effect.

VOICE AIR MEDIA gathered that payment has already begun as the state civil servants are already receiving credit alerts payment to that effect.
