Ahead of February 25, 2023 general election, the Coalition of Buhari/All Progressives Congress, APC, South-West zone has dumped Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, of the APC presidential candidate, endorsed Atiku Abubakar, a candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for president.
Addressing newsmen at a world press conference held in Osogbo,on Thursday, National Chairman APC National Youth Assembly, National Vice Chairman (South West), Coalition Of APC Support Group Comrade Yahaya Majeed, said they have abandoned APC for PDP.
Comrade Majeed, a former APC leader, stated, “We are here today to recreate, in the south-western region. what took place on Monday, February 20, in Abuja.
“We are today to tell the world that we are no longer with the APC again. We are here to show the world that the Coalition of APC Support Groups, an umbrella body of all recognized and certificated support groups of the APC, have renounced their allegiance and shift support for the actualization of Atiku/Okowa Presidency 2023 project.
“You will agree with me that Nigerians have endured enough in the last eight years with the poor governance from Buhari’s administration and APC, and it is high time we must collectively stop the mess caused by Buhari, his government and the APC.
“We must therefore rise up to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH to the APC-led government for the betterment of our children unborn and for
posterity to judge us right.
“Fellow Nigerians, on Saturday 25 February, 2023, we must collectively reject the wickedness call APC and make our voice loud though the ballot that Atiku/Okowa of the PDP is the answer we need to salvage the ruins caused by Buhari’s government.
“Vote PDP, Vote Atku, Vote Okowa to rescue, recovered and unify Nigeria.
“We declare today that everyone shifts to PDP to vote Atiku/Okowa on Saturday” he added.
