Osun Declares Public Holiday For 2023 Elections

THE Osun State Government has declared Friday 24th February as a public holiday for residents and indigenes to travel to their hometowns for the Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday.

In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, the governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke gave the approval for the civil servants to also exercise their franchise.

The statement urged the civil servants to utilize the opportunity to go to the local government areas where they register as voters to participate in the electoral process.

The governor according to the statement, appealed to all residents to be law-abiding as they peacefully exercise their voting rights on Saturday and in subsequent elections.
