Barely five days to the presidential and national assembly elections, the Social democratic party(SDP) candidate for the house of representative in Idanre/Ifedore federal Constituency of Ondo state, Ahmed Olaniyi Saliu has stepped down.

He stepped down for the serving lawmaker, representing the federal Constituency and also a candidate of the All Progressive congress (APC), seeking re-election to the house, Tajudeen Adefisoye (Small Alhaji).

Saliu, made his decision to endorse the APC candidate on Monday to pressmen in Akure, The Ondo state capital.
