Residents across the three senatorial districts of the State where various road projects are ongoing have lauded the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke for his intervention.
They praised the Governor for starting his administration on the delivery of his campaign promises to the people, especially through the construction and rehabilitation of roads which impact on the lives of the residents and non residents of the State.
They gave the commendation to the Governor while a team of the Ministry of Works and Transport went on an inspection of the ongoing road projects.
From Ile-Ife to Ikire to Ilesa, Ikirun, Ede, Osogbo and other towns in the Senatorial districts, residents were seen with an expression of joy and fulfilment as excavation work and other activities were being carried out on their roads.
At each of the roads visited by the inspection team, it was prayer and praises for the Governor as they kept chanting “E bawa ki gomina wa o”, “Help us greet our Governor” in Yoruba language.
At the popular Monday Market – Railway Station Road, Ikirun which stretches 1.2km, the obviously excited residents of the area were seen running out of their houses to ask the inspection team to help deliver their thank you message to Governor Ademola Adeleke for keeping to his campaign promises to the people.
The story was not different when the team got to the 1.230km Enuwa – Oniyangi – Ita-Osun – Oke Atan with Spur to Egbedu – Ilode Junction, Ile-Ife as residents where heard chanting the name of the Governor in jubilation.
Another road visited by the inspection team was the almost 3km Alajue Junction (Ojularede Street) Bode Junction – Admus Filling Station/Oja Oje in Ede where men ,women and children displayed hospitality to the inspection team as a result of their joy on seeing construction workers excavating their drainages in preparation for work.
The inspection visits to all the ongoing project sites in the State by the Osun State Ministry Of Works and Transport continues in a bid to ensure that quality jobs that will stand the test of time are delivered as instructed by Senator Ademola Adeleke.
