Gunmen Burn High Court In Imo

THE Oguta High Court facilities in Imo State’s Oguta Local Government Area has been attacked by unknown attackers.

On Monday, news outlets learned that the attackers stormed the facility late Sunday night and bombed a section of it.

According to a source who spoke to Newsmen on the condition of anonymity, the attackers arrived around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the source, the attack destroyed the Magistrate’s court registry, Appeal court record office, file room, secretary to the high court judge’s office, high court bailiff’s office, and high court judge’s chamber.

“Magistrate court registry, Appeal court record office, file room, secretary to the high court judge’s office, office of the high court bailiff were burnt while the chamber of high court judge was partly razed. The whole of the block has cracked and no reasonable human being will ever near the facility,” the source reportedly said.

The event was confirmed by the Sole Administrator of the Oguta LGA, Ofili Ijioma, who stated the arson had been reported to security personnel.

He promised that additional investigations will reveal the attackers’ identities.
