Despite Police Warnings, Ondo Residents Protest, Block Highway Over Fuel, Naira Scarcity

Some residents in Ore today staged a peaceful protest along Ore-Benin expressway against the scarcity of naira notes and fuel scarcity ravaging the nation despite warnings by the Ondo State police Command.

The protest which caused gridlock made travellers plying the route stranded.

One of the protesters who spoke with Journalists, Prince Adebayo Adeyemi said the recent hardship ravaging the country is quite alarming.

We are protesting to send a message to the government, that we the masses are suffering.
