Chelsea hire new coach, Enoka to restore winning mentality

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

West London giants, Chelsea have hired a new coach, Gilbert Enoka, whose mandate is to handle the mental aspect of the game and restore a winning mentality to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea, who had not won the Premier League in 50 years before the club was acquired by a Russian businessman, Roman Abramovich in 2003, went on to win 5 premier league trophies, 2 champions league and other trophies before the U.K. government forced him to sell the club because of his links with Russia president, Vladimir Putin.

However, the Blues in the current season have struggled to match such heights and currently are sitting 10th on the log table, a situation, which has necessitated the employment of the veteran mental skills coach.

Enoka, who became a household name working with the All Blacks, now has the burden of restoring and creating a winning mentality at the west London outfit.

According to report, Enoka, who is having his first job in football after years in rugby, netball and cricket, was signed on a short-term consultancy role.

His job will include helping to bed all Chelsea’s signings in and create some unity in the squad.

The Chelsea hierarchy will be hoping their new coach has a very swift impact on the players as they are really struggling despite spending over 600million pounds on players, recording just one win in their last seven games and just three goals scored in that time.

The Blues take on London West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday before returning to the Champions League with a trip to Borussia Dortmund next week.
