Gunmen Invade Community in Bauchi, Kill 5, Abduct One

Gunmen have invaded the Gambar Sabon Layi community in the Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State and killed no fewer than five people.

They also kidnapped one person in the process leaving the community in total confusion.

According to Punch report, a resident of the community who craved anonymity, that the gunmen stormed the area on Saturday night and shot sporadically into the air to scare residents away before carrying out their nefarious act.

He said that the assailants kidnapped one Mr Daniel and killed the hamlet head of the area while four others were also killed in the process.

Another resident of the area, Manasseh Danladi, also confirmed the incident.

He said, “Yes, the incident is true. On Saturday, some people came to our village and killed my uncle with four others while Mr Daniel was taken away.”
