The Federal Government, through the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), has announced Osun State as the overall Best Performing State in the just concluded Immunization Vaccination Outbreak Response (OBR1) programme of December, 2022.
This was contained in the congratulatory letter by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), dated 11th dJanuary, 2023 with reference number NPHCDA/84/sub.ll, which was addressed to the Executive Secretary of the State Agency, Dr. (Mrs) Adebukola Olujide.
According to NPHCDA’s letter released on Friday, Osun emerged the best following a rigorous selection process backed by data and thoroughly scrutinised by partners.
Speaking on the achievements, Olujide appreciated the management and staff of the agency for the tremendous achievement and encourage them to do more.
“The reward for hard work is more work. Let us continue to remain committed to the cause of ensuring that all Osun people are protected against preventable diseases,” Olujide said.
She then urged all health workers in the state to see the award as an appreciation for a job well done and also as motivation for greater performance.
In conclusion, Olujide expressed: “On behalf of the Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke and good people of Osun State, I appreciate the support of all stakeholders in the State without whose collaboration this monumental achievement and award would have been impossible.”
