2023: Governor Ortom ‘Endorses’ Peter Obi

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has prayed God to give Nigeria Peter Obi as president.

He spoke while receiving Obi at the Government House.

He said many presidential candidates have visited Benue but had no empathy to visit the over eight IDP camps to share in their pain.

Ortom said a man like Obi if trusted with the mandate of Nigerians in 2023, will change the fortunes of the nation.

He said: “If I am not in PDP, I would have been following you everywhere, to canvass for votes for you. But because I’m in PDP, I’m still telling Nigerians that this is a man that can help & deliver this country.”

Reacting, one of the IDPs shared her joy and appreciated the former Anambra governor for the visit and asked for their immediate resettlement.

She, therefore, hoped that the LP flagbearer emerges as the next President in 2023 and address the insecurity in the state.

She said: “I feel very bad, I thought in my 5th or 6th year, I would have returned to my village, but I’m still here at IDP Camp. I pray that this Peter Obi that came, God will help him to govern us so that the situation will calm down.“ CONTINUE READING…
