According to the Chairman, Micbeth Empowerment Foundation, an NGO named after her, Mrs Yetunde Daramola said “This wonderful woman was my role model, I am not sure she realised that my love for the teaching profession was because I believed her foundation as a teacher was responsible for her self-confidence.

“My mother Olufunke was a very confident, intelligent, and excellent public speaker. Olufunke was never self-conscious when speaking in public and will always create an opportunity to address people. Olufunke through her various public engagement with people have helped mend some unusual relationships and families. We have several testimonies to support this.

Olufunke ought to have taken up a profession in counselling. On many occasions when she was receiving cancer treatments, Olufunke was approached by the clinic to help counsel other patients who were unable to deal with their diagnosis. My mother always chose to see the good side of any situation. This special woman that Myself and my siblings are proud to call mother, devoted her entire life looking out for others, empowering people, and impacting on them positively.

Speaking at the event, the Keynote Speaker, Pastor (Mrs) Oluwagbemi said whatever we do while alive, people will surely remember us, and as parents, they must strive hard to give their children best education.
