Osun: Fayemi To Commission 30km Intercity Road Networks

The immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, who also served as the Chairman of Nigeria Governor’s Forum, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi will be in Osun State on Monday, 21st of November 2022 as the Special Guest of Honour on the invitation of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to commission about 30km of intercity Road networks.

The network of roads to be commissioned include the newly reconstructed 10km Lameco – Okinni – Ilobu road with spur to Olobu’s Palace, 1.26km Olu Aina – Adedapo Adegoke Street – All Soul’s Anglican Church Road, Osogbo and 18.04km Osogbo – Kelebe – Iragbiji road with Access Road to Orita Idi Odan – Araromi – Anaye Market, according to a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Remi Omowaiye, the programme is billed to start by 10am with the commissioning of the Lameco road.

“In line with the economic blueprint of our visionary Governor to industrialize the state through infrastructural revolution by ensuring movement of persons and goods from one town to another with ease, he has again resuscitated deplorable roads into very motorable ones for the use of residents and citizens of our dear state, and we hereby announce the official commissioning of the network of roads completed by the Gboyega Oyetola administration”, the statement reads.

It further admonished people from Osogbo, Egbedore, Orolu, Irepodun, Olorunda and Boripe LGs to troop out enmasse to welcome Mr. Governor and JKF.

Once again, we solicit for the understanding and cooperation of motorists as linkage roads to the venue of the commissioning will be closed as from 12midnight on Sunday till 4pm on Monday, we have created alternative routes, traffic marshalls and security agents will be on ground to ensure free flow of traffic unhindered.
