A member of the Federal House of Representatives has empowered youths in his constituency in Borno state, with materials to become cobblers.
The legislator distributed local shoe-shining boxes and other materials to hundreds of unemployed youths in the state.
A Borno state Indigene took to Twitter to share photos from the empowerment ceremony while criticizing the lawmaker’s action.
The tweep wrote; “One house of representative shared shoe-shining materials in name of youth empowerment for people in my region.
“We’ve been defeated by poverty bro and politicians taking advantage.”
