NANS Distances Self From Impersonators in Southwest, Reiterates support for Tinubu

The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South West, Zone D under the coordinates of Comrade Stephen Fiyinfoluwa Tegbe dissociates herself from a factional body that impersonates the leadership of NANS Zone D who speaks ill of the presidential aspirant of the All progressive and Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; and uses this avenue to alert the entire students in Southwest Nigeria to heed cautiously in interaction with this fraudulent personalities.

In a statement released today, Saturday, 29th October 2022 which was authorized by Andoya Solomon G
Deputy Coordinator and Esiegbe Emmanuel O, the P.R.O of NANS Southwest Zone D.

The Coordinator, Comrade Stephen Fiyinfoluwa Tegbe debunked the news that NANS Zone D is not in support of Asiwaju by saying, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had contributed immensely to the development of the Students’ community in South West and his contribution should not be marred by a non-student impersonator.

He added that we are for students and students’ favor shall be our collective interest which we hold in high esteem, being part of Asiwaju’s emergence is payback for his service to the Students community at large.

He referred to the just-called-off ASUU strike where Asiwaju proved his strength as an educated elite who understands how a country can be managed effectively.

He continued in his speech, “Asiwaju played a very vital role as a politician by standing and advocating for the masses for their right to education in Nigeria which led to the calling off of the ASUU strike and of which is a reality today as our campuses are back in session with full capacity in their various sites.

Comrade Tegbe also referred to Asiwaju’s manifestoes and its content for free education for all Nigerians, job creation for the graduates, and monthly stipends for the undergraduates.

“Asiwaju remained the only Presidential candidate that speaks for Nigerian students in his manifesto by promising students loans amongst others, while other presidential candidates the factional body is promoting have not been able to roll out their agenda for Nigerian students as a whole.”

He furthered literate; how can such a man with such great foresight be dragged to mud? It’s pathetic to hear that an ordinary impersonator who has no history or traces in the books of NANS Zone D cooked up such poor self-acclamations of an outstanding elite and profound father figure in Nigerian students.

The coordinator, Comrade Stephen Fiyinfoluwa Tegbe debunked the “dissociation” and proclaimed that NANS (southwest) Zone D will always stand for what favors Nigerian Students.

He added that Students’ interest must always be the motto of Students’oriented institutions and not a mere self-acclamation or interest.
