Osun: PDP Chieftain, Rasaq Salawu Passes On

A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Iwo local government area of Osun State, Alhaji Rasaq Ajadi Salawu is dead.

Alhaji Salawu, who is a former Chairman of Iwo local government, died in the early hours of Sunday in Iwo. He was aged 78.

Family source told newsmen that the late politician will be buried today according to Islamic rite.

Born 1944, the late political leader actively participated in the process leading to the emergence of the Senator Ademola Adeleke as Osun State Governor-elect.
