Wamakko: APC will improve Sokoto healthcare services

The leader of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, said the party’s governorship candidate, Ahmad Aliyu, would improve the health services for the people of the state if elected as governor in 2023.

 

A statement released by the Special Assistance to Wamakko on New Media, Bashar Abubakar, in Kaduna, quoted the former Sokoto governor to have given the assurance while receiving over 2000 members of the ‘Ahmad Aliyu Medical Aid Association’ on a courtesy visit.

 

Wamakko while thanking the association, commended them for their commitment to supporting the provision of quality healthcare services across the state.

 

Earlier, the Association’s Team Leader, Usman Aliyu, told the Wamakko that members provided medical support to the good people of the state as part of its social responsibility to the people, especially those in the rural areas.

Aliyu noted that despite the limitations in capacity and political will of the government of the day with attendant threats and difficulties being experienced across the state, his group had remained committed to ensuring that it achieve set healthcare improvement objectives.

 

“The Association has 23 coordinators and over 2000 members across the state who are working round the clock to mobilize support for the APC in the coming elections, “he said.

 

He explained further that the Association was solely an APC support group that was using its resources to purchase assorted medical equipment for its operations.

 

According to him, Wamakko as a Grand Patron of the Association is a mark of honour for what he had done for the people of the state during his tenure as governor that impacted positively on their health situation.

 

Aliyu, the statement noted, then pledged the Association’s commitment to providing routine medical support to the needy and vulnerable sections of the state.

Also, the Vice chairman of the Association, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf, in his remarks, recalled that during Wamakko’s administration, all the 244 wards in the state had functional primary healthcare centers.

 

The association, the statement said, pledged to continue to work together for the victory of APC at all levels come 2023 elections, adding that the choice of Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto as APC Governorship candidate for the 2023 election was the right decision. CONTINUE READING…………………………….
