BREAKING: Four Killed, Many Injured In Ikirun Auto Crash

A trailer accident which occurred today, Friday in ikirun ifelodun local government area headquarters of Osun state has claimed no fewer than four lives.

VAM News gathered that the driver of the trailer which was fully loaded with granite crushed to death a motorcyclist and three passers-by while trying to manoeuvre his way after he discovered his vehicle’s brake had failed.

It was further gathered that aside the lives taken and injuries caused during the accident, properties were destroyed including a Public Health Centre and Maternity located at the Emiloju street, Ikirun.

An eye witness Told This Newspaper that among the victims that was killed, was a Woman preparing for her daughter’s wedding ceremony.

 

“A tanker and granite loader As well as a commercial motorcycle popularly known as okada  were involved in the accident”

“The Accident was Due to Break Failure,” Source revealed.

The accident was said to have led to a protest by youth in the area.
