Report: 7 traffic robbers busted in Lagos

No less than seven suspected traffic robbers have been arrested while robbing motorists on the Ketu-Ikorodu Expressway in Kosofe area of Lagos state.

 

Spokesperson for Lagos Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Friday.

 

Hundeyin said that five of the suspects were arrested on Thursday at 11.00 a.m., while they were attacking a motorist at Kosofe Bus Stop, near Mile 12 Food Market.

 

“On Thursday, five traffic robbers swooped on a motorist at Kosofe Bus Stop, along Ikorodu Road.

 

“The Ketu Police Division’s patrol team arrested them all, and that action led to the arrest of two others,” he said.

According to the spokesman, the suspects’ ages were between 18 and 28.
