Osun guber: Adeleke floors challenger at Supreme Court

Osun State Governor-Elect, Senator Adeleke Adeleke, this Thursday afternoon, September 29, 2022, retained his position after tasting yet another victory at the country’s apex court.

He was declared the validly elected candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the governorship poll held on July 16, 2022.

Adeleke had been sued by a former aspirant and now dismissed member of Osun PDP, Dotun Babayemi, who sought judicial redress over the authentic candidate between him and Adeleke.

The case eventually reached the Supreme Court, which this afternoon dismissed Babayemi’s case on technical ground, saying that it was filed outside the stipulated time frame. CONTINUE READING…
