A five-storey building under construction has collapsed in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, injuring seven people.
It was gathered that the building which was said to be an hotel under construction, collapsed in the early hours of Thursday at Awosika area in Ibadan North local government area of the State.
Seven persons, who were injured, were eventually rescued from the rubble of the building but it could not be ascertained if any life was lost in the incident at press time.
A rescue team, which comprises men of the State Fire Service, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other security agencies have been deployed to the scene.
The responders were said to have continued to search the debris for more survivors.
