EFCC Picks Up Speaker Of Ogun House Assembly At Airport

THE Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Oluomo was said to have been arrested at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos on Thursday morning after a tip-off over alleged offences bordering on financial crimes.

Sources at the Ogun State House of Assembly confirmed the development, adding the Speaker is currently being grilled in the custody of the EFCC.

Oluomo was said to have been on the wanted list of the commission following his failure to honour EFCC invitation several times over allegations that he and some others forged signatures and financial documents of the assembly.

The anti-graft agency is yet to make any official confirmation of the arrest. CONTINUE READING…
