Osun Poll: Finally Gov. Oyetola Opens Up On His Loss To Adeleke

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has finally reacted to his shocking loss at the hands of Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (APC) at the just concluded gubernatorial polls in Osun state.

Reacting to his loss, Governor Oyetola on Friday, July 22 described his loss as just another temporary setback in his political career.

Oyetola who spoke at a meeting held at Osun Government House, Oke Osunia, Osogbo with party leaders and other supporters, noted that his defeat was a test from God.

The governor said there were speculations that he had run away after the election result was announced.

He also disclosed that he heard the PDP saying he was trying to convert government assets to his.

Meanwhile, he urged the party faithful not to worry about them, as they were simply playing to the gallery.

“I summoned all of you here to assure you that the present situation is just a temporary setback. It is a test of our resolve by God and we will continue to stand by him. Ours is God’s project and we shall not despair.

“Go back to your various units and wards across the state and continue with regular party activities, hold your meetings regularly. We have bigger projects ahead and we must not allow this temporary set back distract us,” Mr. Oyetola said.

Oyetola charged the APC members and supporters not to allow the outcome of the election to cause dissatisfaction and division within the party, adding that the APC remained the ruling party in the State.

He preached peace and unity among party leaders and members across all levels, from ward to local government to state. CONTINUE READING….
