Osun Empowerment Scheme: Over 76,000 Volunteers Verified For O’YES Cadets

Cadets of the Osun Youth Empowerment ​Scheme (OYES) started the commencement of physical verification and documentation of intended volunteers across all local government areas of the state.

The documentation exercise started around 8am on Wednesday, across all Local Government Secretariats, as youths who registered trooped out en mass to thier respective Local government of residence to participate in the exercise.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Youths and Sports, Hon Adegboyega Adelabu said “Over 76,000 persons have shown interests in the empowerment scheme, and have come out immensely for the registration and documentation”.

He also commended the Governor for his commitment and dedication towards the scheme and how the youths have benefited from it.

In an interview with Voiceairmedia, Soliu Isiaka Adigun, the mentor, representing Irepodun Local Government, has applauded the governor for his goodwill and stated how graciously youths have benefited from the scheme.

“Irrespective of the political parties, the youths belong to, the scheme is for everyone to partake and have sources of income to rely on”, Adigun said

He advised the youths to come out en masse on the 16th of July to vote for his Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, so he can continue the goodwill.

One of the youths, who was present at the secretariat said, “the Governor had done a great job in creating the scheme for the youths in the state as many of us now have various sources of livelihood and to fend for ourselves and our families”.

She also employed the youths to vote for the reelection of the Governor so the scheme can continue.

Also, Mr Oyewole Abdullateef Adebayo, an OYES Mentor, representing Ede North,Oja-Timi, local Government Secretariat, said, youths that have been in the scheme are now being appointed into various posts in the state.

Adebayo encouraged the youths to participate in the scheme and also vote massively for the reelection of the Governor.
