Osun 2022: “Emi Lokan” In Tinubu’s Voice – Oyetola Says, His Govt Has Never Made A Promise It Hasn’t Kept

Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun state, who was declared for the 2018 governorship position after top-tier rivals, including Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party,(PDP), is seeking people’s support for a second term.

Oyetola campaign train landed in Iwo, Ileogbo, and Bode-Osi communities area of Osun state to drum up support for the 2022 election in order to reclaim the governorship of Osun.

Oyetola who had recently got the blessings of the traditional rulers for continuity during endorsement program held towards the end of last year, but he still embark upon palace-to-palace and street consultation, met with the traditional rulers of the aforementioned parts of the state, who expressed interest in his reelection campaign. On the other hand, they promised to back him up.

Governor Oyetola in his remark, commended his party members for their support during the primaries in his public statement and asked for their full support in the upcoming general election.

“I appreciate everyone who voted for us in our party’s primaries to show their support for our administration. We do, however, need your assistance to finish the job we’re assigned for, by voting for us in the general election, because it is a race that includes other political parties and is extremely difficult.”

He went on to say that his government has never made a promise it hasn’t kept. He emphasized regular wage payments, good roads, and feeding services, among other things.

“I’m hoping that state employees, students, and other citizens can see what we’re doing. We are not the type of people who make promises they don’t intend to keep. Give us the opportunity to accomplish more.”

He also mentioned a 56-kilometer stretch of substandard road between Osogbo and Iwo. He promised to work on it so that mobility would be easier.

“We aim to collaborate with the state of Oyo because the road’s reconstruction is both of our responsibilities. I assure you that we will take swift and effective action “, Oyetola said.

He ended by saying “emi lokan,” which means “it’s my turn.” A statement made during the campaign of APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Ogun State.

Oyetola therefore urged every party members and other civilians to get their PVC ready before the 16th of July, 2022.
