Students have, on Monday morning, continued protests across the country over the lingering strike action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) and some other universities in Ondo State are now protesting to support the call for immediate action over the prolonged strike action of ASUU and other unions in the country.
The students blocked popular Akure-Ilesa-Ibadan expressway, forcing many motorists and travellers to be stranded as at the time of filing this report.
The students stormed the major highway at the main entrance of the Institution, chanting different solidarity songs and clutching placards with various inscriptions such as— “End ASUU Strike”, “Save our future”.
Voice air media gathered that ASUU strike has entered its 92nd day as the lecturers and the government.
