Osun Food support scheme: The Journey So Far

Over a million people have been fed in four hundred thousand households in Osun state, the commissioner for regional integration and special duties honorable Lekan Badmus said Osun food support scheme (Ounje Ileri) have reached four hundred thousand houses and over 1 million people have been fed since it’s invention in April, 2021 by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

The commissioner said the purpose of the project is to allow the less privilege to enjoy the government.

He also confirmed that the project has affected entrepreneurship positively as local producers and farmers now enjoys direct benefits from the project owing to the fact on how huge the government have invested in it.

A cassava flake producer Mr Raji Hameed Adekunle who also narrated how the project has impacted his business tremendously and also thanks the state Governor Alhaji Gboyega Adetola for bringing up the project.

The osun indigenous food processor, Mr Azeez Olayemi speaking to the newsmen praises the government as he said the project has created job for youths and farmers and further said transporters, nylon and wood dealers have witnessed patronage.

The secretary to the state government Prince Wale Oyebamiji said the target household of the project is people with little or no hope and people who will never sell the food items when given.

The commissioner for regional integration and special duties finally state that the project is not for the election rather rendering service to the people and said he is sure after the project is reviewed it will continue after the governor is reelected. CONTINUE READING…
