Osun: Man, 32, nabbed for stealing motorcycle

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a man, Ojo Mattew, 32 for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Ede, Osun State.

The NSCDC Commandant in the state, Ocheja Emmanuel disclosed to newsmen on Monday that the man was arrested at Ede, Osun State.

Ocheja who spoke through NSCDC Media Officer in the State, Atanda Olabisi said the man who hails from Ede South Local Government of the State was caught in the act of stealing the motorcycle.

He noted that the suspect was arrested with the help of the residents who alerted the Corps.

Speaking, the suspect who claimed he did not want to steal the motorcycle, revealed that he only wanted to siphon fuel from the motorcycle into his own.

Ocheja, however, authorized further investigation and vowed that the Corps is committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens in the state.
