COVID-19: Nigeria Records 87 New Cases In 10 States, FCT

As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 87 fresh infections of the deadly viral disease in 10 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

 

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Thursday, January 27, 2022.

 

According to the agency, a breakdown of the new cases is shown below: Lagos-25, Rivers-16, FCT-15, Delta-9, Edo-7, Gombe-5, Nasarawa-4, Bauchi-3, Kano-1, Oyo-1 and Borno-1.

 

According to the agency, 267 persons were discharged after recovering from the infection.

There were no fatalities on Thursday, leaving the total number of deaths at 3,134.

 

The NCDC said nine and seven cases reported for Delta and Edo state respectively are for January 26.

 

So far, 252,840 cases have been confirmed with 228,404 recoveries.
