PDP mocks Buhari over ‘improved economy’ claim in Nigeria

The opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari over his claim that Nigerian economy has experienced a boom In his New Year speech.

The party in a statement by its Zonal Publicity Secretary Chief Sanya Atofarati yesterday said; “Our President and his speech writers must have been living in another planet to make such an unfortunate statement at a time like this’.

The party noted that Buhari was deluded by the recent GDP figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics of purported
4.03% growth recorded in the third quarter of 2021, which has no bearing with the reality on ground.

Prices of commodities have reached the roof in the past six years of APC led administration to the extent that Nigerians are now asking for the return of PDP

“Buhari should take time to explain to Nigerians how his voodoo economic policies which rely heavily on foreign borrowing can lead to economic prosperity”

The Party’s scribe then urged Nigerians to endure the pains suffered in the hand of the APC and wait patiently till 2023 for the return of PDP.
