An aspirant of the People Democratic Party, (PDP) in 2018, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi has insisted that the governorship primary election of the party which produced Senator Ademola Adeleke as flag bearer was manipulated against him.
He said that every member of the party knew that the primary was rigged against him, saying his supporters were already jubilating before a turnaround pronouncement of the winner was made.
Ogunbiyi stated this on Wednesday while featuring on a radio program in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
The businessman, who is warming up for another battle to pick the ticket of the Party for the 2022 Osun State governorship election with five other aspirants.
According to him, ” Everybody knew that this thing was manipulated against me. We have already won the primary, and before the election and after how many people contests? how many step down for me? if you look at everything you will know that I won the primary election.
“The point is the primary was manipulated.
“When I went to submit my PDP nomination form I gave a press release and addressed the press and I said 2018 primary was heavenly rigged in favor of the winner.
“I’m PDP man and I know what the party standa for, it’s philosophy I imbibe as a person whether I lose or win, I will remain in PDP” he added.
