COVID hits Aso Rock as Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu tests positive

Mr Garba Shehu, Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is undergoing treatment.

The presidential spokesman who confirmed the development to Channels Television on Saturday, said he feels fine but undergoing treatment.

Garba explained that he has mild symptoms of the disease, revealing that he is already isolated and would be having more tests to properly ascertain his status.

Voice Air Media reports that Garba Shehu, prior to his positive status, had been fully vaccinated against the virus.

He also disclosed that the Permanent Secretary at the State House, Tijjani Umar, and a few others in the Aso Rock have also undergone COVID-19 tests but failed to reveal their results.
